Ritual FAQs
Everything you want to know about Ritual.
Ritual brings AI on-chain. Artificial Intelligence has the capacity to positively impact humanity but the infrastructure in which it is being built is flawed. The potential of AI cannot be fully unleashed with the present infrastructure and how it is designed. The main problems are: permissioned and centralized APIs, lack of privacy and computational integrity, as well as a lack of censorship resistance. AI is presently controlled by a few key players who limit access to it and are using their position to stagnate the growth of AI. Ritual is the solution to the presently flawed state of AI. As a network for open AI infrastructure, Ritual is building groundbreaking, new architecture on a crowdsourced governance layer aimed to handle safety, funding, alignment, and model evolution. Ritual is a sovereign, execution layer for AI. Layer 0, Layer 1, Layer 2, Ritual is whatever its needed to be. The Ritual Superchain is a suite of sovereign modular execution layers, each containing specialized Stateful Precompiles (SPCs) overfit to different classes of arbitrary computation, mostly revolving around AI models, ranging from classical to foundation models.

- The GMP layer facilitates interop between existing blockchains and Ritual Superchain, which functions as an AI coprocessor for all blockchains.
- Ritual’s AI VM contains not only SPCs, but also base layer infrastructure to facilitate optimized execution, including inference engine binaries & vector databases.
There is no information about a token at this moment. Please wait for updates from the team.
The first phase of Ritual is a DON which is live today. You can use & deploy Infernet on any EVM compatible chain. Non-EVM compatible chains is a work-in-progress.
Ritual’s roadmap has not been published, yet. The team will share it in due course. Stay tuned for updates via the social media channels. All is built in the public via Ritual’s product page on the website. Ritual is building in the open, with no notion of a secret roadmap or anything we’re withholding. The Ritual Foundation may independently release its own schedule and roadmap (as it is a separate entity).
As of now, Ritual is still in Devnet. Users can setup nodes for product stability and for providing the team with valuable feedback.
Ecosystem FAQs
Everything you want to know about the Ritual ecosystem and community.
There are no community/ambassador programs to participate in presently, unfortunately. However, if you want to help and add value to the ecosystem, you can do the following:
- Invite your friends.
- Spread the word about Ritual on social platforms such as X/Reddit etc.
- Explain Ritual via indepth blog posts.
- Shoot explainer videos about Ritual and what it is.
- Create memes.
If you’re a dev you could begin by using Infernet, which is a lightweight library bringing compute on-chain.
Here’s a great suggestion:
The best way to help would be to spread the word, share the content and announcements, invite your friends to the discord, hang out and chat here.
Josh, Ritual Team
There is no community program / ambassador program at the moment. There are no announcements from the team if there will be one. However, you can run a node if you are interested.
Node FAQs
Everything you want to know about running an Infernet Node.
These are the system requirements for running a node:
- Minimum: CPU Single-core vCPU, RAM 128MB, DISK 512MB HDD
- Recommended: CPU 4 modern vCPU cores, RAM 16GB, DISK 500GB IOPS-optimized SSD
- IOPS-optimized SSD: CPU 4 modern vCPU cores, RAM 64GB, RAM 64GB, GPU CUDA-enabled GPU
You can also find the specs in the docs (unable to share, unfortunately).
Running a Ritual node is not incentivized. To get started with running your node, please have a look at the official documentation of Ritual.
You can check your Docker logs via this command:
docker logs -f anvil-node
It is useful to look at the logs of the Anvil node to see what’s going on.
You can also do a health check via:
curl localhost:4000/health
Tech FAQs
Everything you want to know about the tech behind Ritual.
Ritual is still in devnet presently. However, Infernet, a decentralized oracle network (DON) optimized for AI, is live.
The second phase of Ritual will see the creation of its own sovereign chain. The Ritual blockchain will have its own custom VM and functions as a coprocessor.
Ritual will support different types of proof systems. For Infernet, Ritual provides systems based on the preferences of its users and their willingness and necessity to pay for verifiability. On Ritual’s sovereign blockchain, ZK will be a critical component for scalability.
Infernet is Ritual’s first phase of bringing AI on-chain. Infernet is a live decentralized oracle network (DON). In the second phase, Ritual will launch its sovereign chain with its custom VM. Infernet and Ritual’s sovereign chain have different use cases and will co-exist.
